The
SPORT Lactate Analyser takes the mystery out of training
As a coach
or athlete starting the season, one of the first things you do is pinpoint your
strengths and weaknesses before setting individual training goals. This is time-consuming
work. This portable lactate Analyser can make it easier and more effective. Many
coaches already use lactate to set the training pace for Olympic athletes,
college and elite athletes. In fact, lactate analysis is a standard
measure of fitness in many sports because it helps coaches regulate training
and avoid overtraining.

Measure
lactate anywhere
With this
Analyser, you can monitor your athletes wherever they''re training because we
put laboratory accuracy in a portable unit you can use anywhere.
- at
poolside
- in the
gym
- at the
track
- on the
slope
Easy to
use
You may
present your blood samples—all you need is 25 microliters—to the SPORT
either with a blunt needle Syringepet or Capillary Tube Injector.
60-second results
- 150
results stored in memory
- time and
date stamp
- athlete
identification number
Using the
capillary tube injector, it is easy to present samples for analysis.
- Sample
directly from athlete
- Minimal
sample drawn
- Safe and
effective
Laboratory
accuracy
The broad
measurement range—0 to 30 mmol/L—lets you run any blood sample without
dilution. High-accuracy measurements assure repeatable trend information for
all your athletes.
Printer or PC data link
The optional printer gives you a permanent record via an infrared data link.
You can also transfer your data to a PC via the RS232 serial port.

Lightweight
and Portable
At
only 10 pounds (4.53 kg), the SPORT is easy to carry—it is about the size of a
laptop computer. One battery charge operates it for 8 hours minimum. And, to
save the battery, the SPORT can be put on standby between tests. A full
recharge takes only 8 hours. All the reagents (in spill-proof bottles) and
accessories you will need for a day of testing fit conveniently in the case.
Proven technology
The SPORT uses immobilized enzyme electrode technology. A thin film of
lactate enzyme is immobilized within a membrane. Hydrogen peroxide is produced
when the lactate in the blood sample you inject diffuses through the membrane.
The hydrogen peroxide, measured at a platinum anode, is proportional to the
lactate in the sample.
Optional Preservative Collection Kit
In cases when you want to collect samples now and analyse them later, offers a
kit that will preserve samples.
